Inspired by Copenhagen open air museum, the Punjab Rural Heritage Museum showcases antiques from 18th and 19th century rural Punjab in its two storeys. The Phulkari section displays rich selection of the traditional Punjabi phulkari. The museum has on display traditional musical instruments like tumba, sarangi, nagara and vanjhili. There are also dioramas and mannequins displaying different facets of the rural life in Punjab.
There is a wide collection of coin, old utensils, instruments grain storing utensils,carpentry tools etc. from the Indus valley civilization. Don’t miss out on this place if one wants to understand Rural Punjab and its Transformation over years. A must visit for history lovers!
