About Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary
It is striking as an elephant hold and a tiger save. The guaranteed zone covers a locale of 925 km2 357 sq mi. 305 km2 118 sq mi of the inside zone was d as the Periyar National Park in 1982.
