The Franciscans are have constructed this lovely church. Although it was repaired in 1661, the Franciscans have been now not glad with the end result. The Provincial, Antonio de Assumpcao then ordered the vintage church to be demolished and a brand new one to be built. Jeronymo de Natividade who had a few know-how of architecture, revised the authentic plans and significantly reduce down the value. The complete cost for all this construction became borne with the aid of the village network. The church is particular as it was constructed the use of the Mannerist Neo-Roman style. The front piece is topped through piediment. Its large dual towers have special pagoda like roofs.
The finials are of spear type; something which makes the church of Our Lady of Hope rare is the bell towers which rise excessive above the valuable gable. In 1948 the left aspect tower of the church collapsed and had to be rebuilt. The ceremonial dinner of the patroness changed into celebrated in historic instances on the 16th of December, later the date of the feast became shifted to the 27th of December however from 1997 onwards the banquet is widely known at the 19th of December. The main altar of the church is dedicated to Our Lady of Hope. On the left of the principle altar there's the richly carved altar of wooden. It has a large pass with Jesus crucified on it, and underneath are two huge statues of Jesus and Mother Mary.
