At a separation of 22 Kms from Nampally Railway Station and 11 km from Golconda Fort, Osman Sagar Lake, prominently known as Gandipet is a counterfeit lake built over River Musi. The store involves an aggregate zone of around 30 sq km. This is one of the well known traveler spots to visit close Hyderabad. It was worked in 1920 to give drinking water source to Hyderabad, and furthermore sparing the city from surges. It is named after Osman Ali Khan, The Last Nizam of Hyderabad.
