About Maraghatha Sarovar
Maragatha Saroam is a theertham lake situated in the premises of the popular Chandira Choodeswarar Temple in Hosur. The sanctuary and the Maragatha Saroam is arranged on a slope called Bhadrachalam and is a standout amongst the most unmistakable sanctums of the area.This old sanctuary, worked in 1260 by Thirupuvanamalla Barvatharaja Anthiyazh of the Hoysala line, has a one of a kind Architecture. The primary gods of the hallowed place are Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati and Goddess Maragadambal.
The significant attractions here, aside from the Maragatha Saroam, are a few different theerthams like the Vrishabha Theertham, Pandava Theertham, Jambava Theertham, Shivagangai and Hanuman Theertham, which are viewed as sacred by the fans. Numerous more holy places devoted to Lord Muruga, Ganesha and different holy people can be found close to the Maragatha Saroam. The theertham and the sanctuary are open from day break to nightfall and fans can appreciate the quiet climate here.
