Lahesh Cave Trek

It lies at a height of 3500 m above ocean level. Lahesh Cave is a 12 km trek from the McLeod Ganj Bus Stop. Lahesh Cave is a Camping ground which is utilized by shepherds in the summers when they take their sheep to the high height knolls here. It is situated at a separation of 12 km from McLeod Ganj and 17 km from Dharamshala. 

The trail is 10 km from Dharamkot and goes through Galu Devi Temple, Triund and Illaqa. Triund is the base camp for the trekkers who proceed with the trek to Lahesh Cave, Indrahara Pass to Bharmour. This is a simple to direct trek, which should be possible either from McLeod Ganj or Dharamkot, which is 2 km in front of McLeod Ganj.

En route there are numerous little Tea shops where one can revive amid the climb. After a 2 km climb from Triund, navigating through an edge will prompt Illaqa or Laka which has a brief shepherd camp. The way is shake strewn and uneven, a few spots were slippery as well.
