About Kalpi
Kalpi is a town and a civil board in Jalaun area in the Indian territory of Uttar Pradesh. It is on the right bank of the Yamuna. It is arranged 78 kilometer south-west of Kanpur from which it is associated by both street and rail. The town was caught by the British in 1803, and after 1806 stayed in British ownership until India's freedom in 1947. Kalpi was a piece of Bundelkhand Agency, framed in 1811, and furthermore housed its central station from 1818 to 1824. Amid this period the political operator to Governor General of India was selected and headquartered in Kalpi. The British East India Company made it one of their foremost stations for giving "business speculation".
In May 1858, Hugh Rose vanquished here a power of Indian opportunity contenders driven by the Rani of Jhansi. The invigorated post of Kalpi, the previous living arrangement of the leaders of Jalaun State, was disassembled in 1860 by the British and its place was taken by a market known as Whiteganj. There are numerous spots for visiting like Vyas sanctuary, Lanka Meenar, 84 Gumbaj and bunches of Dargah like Khankah the Dargah of Sayyad Meer Tirmiji. Kalpi is likewise origin of Ved Vyas ji. There is a Kali Haveli and Rang Mahal of Beerbal that called Rang Mahal.
