Indian Military Academy

Indian Military Academy, situated in Dehradun, ended up useful from first October 1932. It is arranged at a separation of around 8 km from the fundamental city, on Dehradun-Chakrata Road. At first, it began with a clump of 40 Cadets. The principal commandant of this institute was Brigadier L.P. Collins.

With a specific end goal to build up Indian Military Academy, the administration gained the previous Railway College of Dehradun. Prominently known as Chetwode Building, the foundation was named after Field Marshal Sir Philip Chetwode. He was the Commander-in-Chief of India at the season of foundation of the Indian Military Academy.

Moreover, he was the person who introduced this foundation. At display, there are a few attractions situated inside this foundation that pull in voyagers. Historical center, War Memorial, Shooting Demonstration Room and 18-holes FRIMS Golf Course are a portion of the attractions situated inside the Indian Military Academy.
