Hogenakkal Falls:The main attraction of Hogenakkal is Hogenakkal falls. It is a water fall located on river Kaveri in the Dharampuri district of Tamilnadu which is also known as Niagara Falls of India where water of River kaveri splits into ious streams. The water here is believed to have medicinal properties where in numerous herbs are available. The Carbonatite rocks of the hills in the falls are supposed to be the oldest in South Asia and one of the oldest rocks in the world. After visiting the water falls you can also visit several other places to see the beauty of nature in surrounding areas of Hogenakkal. People can enjoy the oil massages which are very popular in these areas. Massages by herbal oils with expert hands used on pressure points relax you completely. You may also enjoy boating on as unique kind of boat. There are other several places like Dam, hills and temples to visit and enjoy the beauty of architectural and natural beauty.

Melagiri hills:Melagiri hills comes next to the falls to visit .it is the point where eastern and western ghats meet  each other. The dense forests all around the place covered by two mountain ranges thrills the eyes to see the greens.

Mettur Dam:It is one of the largest and oldest dam in India constructed in year 1934. It is situated 30km from Salem in the village Mettur on river Kaveri. Besides being a man made tourist place to visit, the dam supports irrigation facility to 271.000 acres of agricultural land. It also owns hydro electric power station generating 240mw electricity .There is facilities available in surrounding areas of dam for sea food lovers to taste the fried fish.

Pentagram village & Parameshwari temple:The village is situated at 20km distance from Hogenakkal in the lap of Nature. It is famous for its weekly Haat. One can also visit Parmeshwari temple situated in the village which is known as the protector of pregnant women against infertility.
