Chandragiri Hill

Chandragiri hill is one of the two hills in Shravanabelagola in the Indian territory of Karnataka, the other one being Vindhyagiri. The written history encompassing the slope began in 300 BC when last Shruthakevali Bhadrabahu and Chandragupta Maurya visited the place keeping in mind the end goal to achieve religious peace. The little slope infers its name of Chandra from the way that Chandragupta was the first of the rishis who lived and performed retribution there. An immense span of stone shake, scatteed extensive and little rocks can be discovered on the way to the pinnacle.

Kalbappu was the early name of the slope and it commands the historical backdrop of the town of Shravanabelagola between third century BC and twelfth century AD. The Jain conventions interface the Maurya Empire Emperor Chandragupta and his instructor Bhadrabahu with this place.
