About Bhimgarh Fort
Bhimgarh Fort is a beautiful Fort located in the town of Reasi. It used to be the residence of a royal family earlier. Reasi is a beautiful town only 64 km away from Jammu in Udhampur district. Therefore, the Bhimgarh Fort is located on the north western side of Jammu.
The fort is also known as Reasi Fort, after the town. It was originally built of clay and mud and it located at an elevation of 493 feet. Later, the Fort was renovated and handed over to the Stat. It was turned into a tourist spot and the surroundings of the fort were converted to beautiful gardens and pathways. It is a powerful landmark in Jammu and Kashmir, the royalty and splendor of which attracts tourists from far and wide.
