Alpathar Lake

This is actually located at the foot of the popular mountain “Apharwat”. This lake nestles at around 13km from the city of Gulmarg. So if you visit Gulmarg this is a must place to visit. The Apharwat peak reaches an astonishing height of about 4500 meters.

To be precise enough this place is about 1.5km from the cable car- gondola. A striking feature of this lake is that this lake stays frozen during winters which give striking scenic views. Large chunks of ice keep floating on this lake. During summer you can witness beautiful flowers and trees.
