Ahichchhatra was the old capital of Northern Panchala, a northern Indian kingdom specified in Mahabharata. The remaining parts of this city has been found in Ramnagar a town arranged in the Aonla Tehseel of Bareilly District in Uttar Pradesh, India. The unearthings have enlivened a block stronghold and progression of occupation from a period before 600 BCE to 1100 CE. Amid the primary unearthings in 1940– 44, the Painted Gray Ware stoneware were found at the soonest level. Vestiges of this city could be distinguished from the remote detecting symbolism of IRS Indian Remote Sensing satellites. The remnants uncovers that the city had a triangular shape.
