About Archaeological Museum of Volos

The Archaeological Museum of Volos, also known as Athanasakeion Archaeological Museum of Volos, is a museum placed in Volos, Greece, that houses many awesome reveals from early twentieth century and current archaeological excavations in Thessaly. Exhibits on show include jewelry, family utensils and agricultural equipment, originating from the Neolithic settlements of Dimini and Sesklo, as well as clay statuettes and a huge kind of objects from the Geometric period, a time of brilliant heroic occasions, which includes the Argonaut Expedition and the Trojan War.

There are also statues and unusual jointed statuettes from the classical length, rare steles with comfort work from the Hellenistic period wherein the color are nicely-preserved, in addition to reliefs from the early Christian and Byzantine periods.
