Leinfelden Echterdingen

Leinfelden Echterdingen is a town in Baden Wurttemberg, simply south of the kingdom capital Stuttgart. It belongs to the Stuttgart vicinity and to the European metropolitan place of Stuttgart. The newly formed in 1975 inside the context of municipal reform had already at its founding more than 20,000 population. Therefore it have become already with effect from 1 July 1976 large district town. Today it's far after Esslingen is Neckar, Filderstadt, Nurtingen and Kirchheim unter Teck, the 5^th largest metropolis inside the district of Esslingen and belongs to the primary vicinity Stuttgart within the eponymous Upper Center.

The metropolis of Leinfelden Echterdingen become founded on 1 January 1975 by means of the merger of the city of Leinfelden and the groups Echterdingen, Musberg and Stetten at the Fildern. However, the 4 communities have protracted records. The region name Echterdingen is noted for the primary time in 1185, Stetten and Musberg in 1229, Leinfelden 1269 and Oberaichen 1287. A Leinfelder Amtlein, to which additionally Musberg and Stetten belonged, is cited for the primary time in 1524. Since 1557, the places belonged to Wurttemberg.
