About Foret de Chaux

The forest of Chaux is a woodland found east of the town of Dole in the divisions of Jura and Doubs . It is one of the biggest broadleaves of hardwoods in France and particularly oaks. It is the second biggest hardwood timberland in France with 20,493 hectares, after the woodland of Orleans however it is just the eighth national backwoods of France with 13 093 ha in its middle and 7400 ha of public woods outskirts. Aside from a developed enclave, it is one of only a handful couple of extensive massifs safeguarded nearly in one piece. There is the biggest "uninhabited hover" of the Jura office , with 9 km measurement.
