Dunkirk 1940 Museum

THE MUSEUM IS CLOSED FOR WORKS UNTIL first APRIL 2018 The altogether remodeled historical center is situated in the strongholds that were worked in 1874 to strengthen France's beach front barrier. Bastion 32 filled in as the central command for the French and Allied powers amid the Battle of Dunkirk and Operation Dynamo. The Memorial du Souvenir recounts the fantastic story of the fight and of the clearing of in excess of 338.000 associated warriors from the "Pocket of Dunkirk".

In the historical center, you will find a rich presentation of maps, pictures and both associated and German military material. Scale models of the destinations of the activity, garbs and weapons finish the gathering.
