About Sinu-og Estokada Festival

Jagna praises its Sinoog Estokada Festival each 29th of September every year regarding the town supporter, St. Michael the Archangel. The Sinoog Estokada Festival began in 2001 which is the changed and enhanced iant of the Sinu-og Festival. The celebration is a local war move depicting great versus insidious through musical walking and developments following the beat of the drums. The move represents the skirmish of the Jagnaanon Christians and attacking Muslims.

The townspeople trusted that St. Michael the Archangel helped and safeguarded them from the trespassers. The entertainers are dressed as either terrible or great blessed messengers to demonstrate which side they are with.
