Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival Cochin:

Arrive in Cochin and transfer to the hotel. Check into the hotel and enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Later on enjoy half day City tour of Cochin -Visit the Mattancherry Dutch Palace - closed on Fridays and public holidays, which was built by the Portuguese in 1555 and renovated by the Dutch in 1663. Visit Fort Cochin Area. Visit St. Francis Church - closed for visitors on Sundays from 08. 00 to 11. 00 hrs. the oldest European Church in India. See the Chinese Fishing Nets, along the tip of Fort Cochin unique to this part of Kerala and living symbols of a centuries-old Chinese influence on this coast. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Cochin – Munnar 135kms/4hrs:

After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Munnar, arrive by the afternoon. Munnar is a picturesque hill station situated in the eastern part of Kerala; lush green-carpeted tea and coffee plantations surround it. The beautiful landscapes, cozy weather, and the smell of tea leaves make Munnar one of the most sought-after destinations in South India. Munnar is situated near the Anaimudi Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Munnar

Today morning after breakfast visit Mattupetty dam which has an artificial lake built by a small hydroelectric project. Echo Point is known for the natural echo affect it produces. Tea Museum explains about the processing of tea and history of Munnar and Eravikulam National Park is known as the natural habitat of endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 : Munnar – Thekkady 110kms/3. 5hrs:

Today after breakfast depart for Periyar by road. Arrive Periyar and transfer to hotel. The town also houses one of the world’s most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries. A visit to Periyar also provides you the opportunity to see wildlife at close ranges, besides the ied vegetation and a wide iety of birds. Lying at an altitude of 700-1900 m above sea level, Periyar has a cool and comfortable climate. Out here, you can also go for treks and mountain walks or visit spice plantation or enjoy boat ride at Lake Periyar On direct payment basis. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 : Thekkady – Kumarakom / Alleppey 160kms/4hrs

After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Kumarakom/Alleppey and arrive by the afternoon, Check into the hotel and enjoy rest of the day at leisure or take an optional cruise on the backwaters. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 : Kovalam / Poo

Today after breakfast check out from hotel and depart for Kovalam by road. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Kovalam Beach lies stretched out on the Malabar Coast, along with the shoreline of a small town called Kovalam. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy on the beach.

Day 7 : Kovalam – Kanyakumari Excursion 90 Km / 2 Hrs

Today after breakfast proceed for excursion of Kanyakumari - An inspiring spiritual joint of India & also meeting point of three major seas the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean, and Bay of Bengal; En route visit the Padmanabhapuram Palace Palace of Marthanda Varma - Padmanabhapuram Palace is located close to the town of Thuckalay in Kanyakumari District, Tamilnadu. Reach Kanyakumari and visit Vivekananda Memorial rock by boat on direct payment basis, Statue of Thiruvalloor, Gandhi Mandapam and temple of Goddess Kanyakumari. Enjoy Sunset from the tip of India. In the late afternoon return to Poo. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 8 : Depart Trivandrum:

Today after breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed for Trivandrum for the city tour 16Kms. Visit the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple non-Hindus are not allowed inside, which dominates Trivandrum. Also visit the Napier Museum and the Srichithra Art Gallery. Later transfer to airport/railway station for onward journey and then transfer to airport/railway station for onward journey.
