After checking in and freshening up, you can set out to explore what the place has in store for you. Take a houseboat ride in the backwaters of Kumarakom to start the experience with a bang. You can also visit the beaches in Kumarakom the same day and elevate the fun factor by indulging in the adventure water sports offered there. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, too, is another spot that has been made mesmerizing by the cheerful chirpings of the birds and the great variety of flora and fauna.

Start your second day on an energetic note by trekking your way to the Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls. While in Kumarakom, you can also visit the one-of-a-kind Bay Island Driftwood Museum. Take a boat ride to Pathiramanal Island to marvel at the intriguing variety of plants, animals and birds, the zoo, and the natural aquarium.
