Scedro

Scedro is an island alongside the southern coast of Hvar, approximately one mile from Zavala on Hvar. Scedro from Hvar separates the canal channel from Korcula - Korcula channel. In addition to Hvar, Scedra is the nearest land to the cliffs of Lukavci 3 cliffs approximately three km west of scedra.

There are about 30 human beings residing at the island in the summer, and approximately 15 inside the winter. In the past, the island became inhabited through Lovisce, Srid and Rake , Mostir, Moster in Mostir bay, and Nastane or the village of Stan in the inner a part of the island. Today, the village of Nastane has only maintained houses and the remains of the ruins. There are four restaurants at the island. Of cultural centers, the remains of the Dominican monastery are on the island. The island has no power and no water, so water is used every year to test the water great, and strength is used for power and sun energy.
