Museo Nacional de Costa Rica

The Museo Nacional de Costa Rica is the country wide museum of Costa Rica, positioned in the capital of San José. It is placed at Calle 17, between Central and Second Avenue, Cuesta de Moras, inside the Bellavista Fortress, a crenallated, ochre colored building contrary the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica. The castle turned into built in 1917 and became initially a military barracks: the outside walls nonetheless have many bullets lodged in them from the usa's 1948 civil warfare.

It have become the website online of the museum in 1950. The front on the east side ends in a courtyard displaying pre-Columbian artifacts and cannons from the colonial duration. The museum had a brilliant series of pre-Columbian stone tables, ceramics and a gold room "Sala de Oro" within the northeast tower.The colonial room has a splendid series of fixtures and is designed to emulate that of an real quarters within the 18th century.
