About Grain Elevator Museum

The Spruce Grove Grain Elevator Museum is a former Alberta Wheat Pool grain elevator that has been preserved as a working museum run with the aid of the volunteers of the Spruce Grove and District Agricultural Society. When the Spruce Grove and District Agricultural society became to start with organized, they built the Spruce Grove Agrena, a constructing which keeps to serve the network today.
The AG society backed and prepared the Agra Fair, which grew to come to be considered one of Western Canada’s largest activities of its type which endured for thirty years. After the fair's closure, the AG society started its work at the Grain Elevator and the town Water Tower. The business enterprise is administered by means of volunteer members. The purpose of the AG Society is to promote tourism with the aid of drawing site visitors to a venue which affords cultural, instructional, and interpretive data on agricultural procedures and history, and the historical past of the Prairie area.
The Spruce Grove and District Agricultural Society stepped in to save you the demolition of the final elevator, shopping for it from Alberta Wheat Pool for a $1 along with the 1-acre that the elevator sits on for $35,000.
