About Calgary Tower

The Calgary Tower is a 190.8-meter unattached perception tower in Downtown Calgary. Initially called the Husky Tower, it was imagined as a joint wander between Marathon Realty Company Limited and Husky Oil as a major aspect of a urban recharging plan and to observe Canada's centennial of 1967. The pinnacle was worked at a cost of $3,500,000 and weighs around 10,884 tons, of which 60% is subterranean. It opened to people in general on June 30, 1968 as the tallest structure in Calgary, and the tallest in Canada outside Toronto. It was renamed the Calgary Tower in 1971.
