About Bobcaygeon
Bobcaygeon is a network on the Trent-Severn Waterway in the City of Kawartha Lakes, east-focal Ontario, Canada. Bobcaygeon was consolidated as a town in 1876, and ended up known as the "Center point of the Kawarthas". Its recorded name bounce ca-je-wan-unk comes either from the Mississauga Ojibway word baabaagwaajiwanaang "at the simple shallow streams", giishkaabikojiwanaang "at the cliffed falls" or obaabikojiwanaang "at currented rough limits", or from the French playmate bocage "lovely supported farmland".
The principal secure in the Trent-Severn Waterway was worked in Bobcaygeon in 1833. The town is arranged on three islands, alongside the primary land. Bobcaygeon's central industry is tourism, especially identified with recreational angling.
