About Kufstein Fortress

The Kufstein Fortress is the primary landmark of Kufstein, a metropolis of Tyrol in Austria. It is occasionally wrongly referred to as Geroldseck Fortress. It is on a hill commanding Kufstein proper. Kufstein Fortress is 507 metres above sea stage. The citadel is connected to the metropolis under by using the Festungsbahn, a funicular railway.
