Burghausen Castle in Burghausen, Upper Bavaria, is the longest fort complicated inside the world, showed by using the Guinness World Record company. Under the dukes of Bavaria-Landshut 1392 to 1503, the fortifications were prolonged around the entire fortress hill. Starting with Margarete of Austria, the deported spouse of the despotic Duke Henry XVI 1393 to 1450,the citadel became the house of the Duke's consorts and widows, and additionally a stronghold for the ducal treasures. In 1447 Louis VII, Duke of Bavaria died in the fort as Henry's prisoner.
