De Salis Wines

The De Salis Wines is a little family winery situated at an elevation of 1050 meter on the northern incline of mt canobolas on our, 'the grand vineyard' in the cool atmosphere area of Orange,Our moderate winemaking rationality is borne from a want to catch the regular rhythmic movement, the crossing point of our vines with their microenvironment and make wines that test the 'mechanical' wine culture.

Our carefully assembled wines are delivered utilizing the exemplary French assortments, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Meuniere. Grand Vineyard was first planted in 1993 to Chardonnay and Merlot by eminent Orange horticulturalist, David Gartrell.

Resulting plantings have expanded the vineyard territory to 9Ha. Our hand tended vines are planted in basalt over a limestone base, when combined with winter snow, warm summer days and the long cool nights recently fall, it enables us to reap grapes of remarkable quality.
