Once its isolation from other countries was perceived negatively, but with the advent of tourism, this has become its greatest gift. New Zealand has been time and again considered as the most beautiful country in the world by tourists. A single island on one side is bordered by Alps and its other side by beautiful coastline is an example of successful experiments by nature.
Covering an area of nearly 268,680 sq. km, New Zealand is supposedly the youngest country in the world. Situated nearly 2000 km south of Australia, New Zealand is totally isolated from all other land masses and this isolation has given the country a totally different identity, nature wise as well as culturally. It is divided into two huge islands called South Island and North Island, and many smaller islands.

Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand and the gateway to entire New Zealand. Situated in the southwestern tip of North Island, Wellington is home to New Zealand government and some of the most known attractions. However, Auckland is the largest and most populated city of New Zealand and is equally beautiful and important. Other major cities of New Zealand are Christchurch, Hamilton, Napier and Tauranga.
