Sassi Di Matera

Situated in the city of Matera in Basilicata region, Sassi Di Matera is a pre-historic cave settlement. The English translation of this would be the 'stones of Matera'. These caves are believed to be one of the earliest dwelling arrangement of the human race. The interesting aspect about this caves is its striking resemblance to the ancient locations around Jerusalem.
