About Ulysses S. Grant Home

The Ulysses S. Grant Home is the previous home of Civil War General and eighteenth President of the United States, Ulysses S. Give. Planned by William Dennison and inherent 1860, the house was given to General Grant as a token of thankfulness for his exceptional administration amid the war, and it has been kept up as a dedication from that point forward. Situated on Bouthillier Street, the U.S. Concede Home is outfitted with mid-1860s furniture and stylistic layout that once had a place with the Grant family. Mediators wearing period outfits lead amass visits that detail Grant's exercises amid the Civil War through to his administration. Assigned as a National Historic Landmark and recorded on the National Register of Places, the Ulysses S. Concede Home is overseen by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency.
