About The Phoenix Shot Tower
The Phoenix Shot Tower in Baltimore is one of just a couple of shot towers left in the United States today. Back in the mid 1800's liquid lead would be dropped from the highest point of the shot pinnacle into a vat of water at the exceptionally base. As the lead beads hit the water they would shape idealize circles and after that harden in the water as they sunk. Tourists come here from all over the world. The shot pinnacle was utilized from 1828 until 1892 and is developed from one million blocks. At a certain point it was the tallest working in the United States.
