About The George Peabody Library
The George Peabody Library is situated on East Mount Vernon Place on the Peabody Institute grounds. It is John Hopkins University's nineteenth century look into library, and it is available to the overall population. The library's gathering contains 300,000 books, the greater part of which are from the nineteenth century and some of which are early printed books.
Finished in 1878, the building has turned out to be outstanding for its lovely and lavishly brightened inside; the roof of the chamber takes off 61 feet over the high contrast marble floor. As a result of its refined excellence, the library is a famous setting for weddings and other exceptional occasions. It is open from Tuesday to Friday.
