The Little Nature Museum

The Museum contains accumulations, shows, and hands-on nature exercises with prizes for kids. The accumulations incorporate rocks, minerals, fossils, ocean life, creepy crawlies, Indian relics, mounted feathered creatures and warm blooded animals, and plants. The Little Nature Museum was established by Sandra Waddell, its current chief, at 13 years old, in Winthrop, MA. It opened in 1955. Sandra started encouraging week after week after-school youngsters' science classes at her folks' home to two age gatherings; upwards of 30 kids. Summer classes were in the end included and field trips booked. A yearly open house or comparable occasion has been held since its establishing giving people in general, and particularly kids, the chance to take in more and end up amped up for nature and science.

The Museum started to offer nearby and effort programs in the mid 1970's on an assortment of nature-related subjects.
