The Fred J. Johnston Museum

Worked in 1812 as a home for New York State Senator John Suydam, the Fred J. Johnston Museum commends the life and times of the representative and stands as a superb design case of a home from the great Federal time frame. Spared from destruction from Fred Johnston in 1938, the building was reestablished to its previous magnificence and made into an exhibition hall that now includes a few period rooms with furniture accumulations from the eighteenth and mid nineteenth hundreds of years.
