St. Johns Church

Practically around the bend from the amphitheater stands St. John's Church, some of which dates from the late nineteenth century, alongside part of a prior twelfth century Norman church, including its still noteworthy nave. The triforium is Transitional and dates from around 1200, and in spite of the fact that the first choir and Lady Chapel were demolished when the focal pinnacle crumbled, they can even now be viewed as pleasant remains. Likewise justified regardless of a visit is St. Michael's Church on Bridge Street. Albeit never again being used as a congregation it's presently a legacy focus, it contains ious intriguing highlights, including its fine recolored glass windows and a fifteenth century chancel.
