Seattle Cinerama

Cinerama has been wowing moviegoers since it opened in 1963, a year after the World's Fair shown Seattle its way as a city without bounds. For ages, motion picture fans youthful and old would arrange around the piece on Fourth and Lenora, holding up to see everything from 70mm works of art like It's a Mad World to cutting edge blockbusters like Blade Runner 2049, films from the Star Wars establishment, or any number of enormous spending summer motion pictures. Cinerama has for quite some time been a most loved setting for science fiction, activity, and dream fans, drawing droves of energetic motion picture buffs, frequently costumed, to showings. Cinerama confronted declining ticket deals in the '80s and '90s as multiplexes outside the city picked up prevalence. In the late '90s the storied performance center shut and was slated for obliteration so the land could be redeveloped. In the wake of seeing a flier looking for open help to spare Cinerama at a nearby video store, Paul Allen made a move.
