Plains Conservation Center

The Plains Conservation Center is one of Aurora's most loved common amusement locales, has revived to the general population with new instructive and preservation programming. The city recovered administration of the immense open space May 1. "Aurora has claimed the land for a considerable length of time, thus when the philanthropic association dealing with the site came to us and said they couldn't work it any longer, we basically moved back in," said Eric Watts, a director with Aurora Parks, Recreation, and Open Space.

Explore the nature focus, real Cheyenne camp with tipis, grass houses, metal forger shop and one-room school building. Guests can climb along moving trails and may see shake snakes, prairie mutts, pronghorn, coyotes and red-followed birds of prey. The individuals who are particularly fortunate may get a look at the occupant bald eagle family.
