Perelman Building

The Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building and Museum of Art—initially the Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company Building the Ruth and Raymond—is an add of the Philadelphia Museum of Art containing presentation exhibitions, workplaces, preservation labs, and the gallery library. It is an Art Deco fabricating that highlights church like passages and is embellished with figure and gilding.The building is recorded on the National Register of Historic Places. The Perelman Building is situated at the crossing point of Pennsylvania Avenue and Fairmount Avenue, confronting the Philadelphia Museum of Art's fundamental working crosswise over Kelly Drive.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art gained the working in 1999 through the City of Philadelphia. In expectation of its 125th commemoration in 2001, the historical center started a capital crusade that gathered $240 million in gifts. In acknowledgment of the $15 million contributed by the Perelmans, the attach was renamed the Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building in 2000.
