About Holden Marolt Mining and Ranching Museum
It comprises of one residual building and the remaining parts of some others. In 1990 it was perceived as a historically significant area and recorded on the National Register of Historic Places, the main region in the city to be so perceived.
It was worked in 1891 to process mineral mined from the mountains around the city into silver through lixiviation. Inside two years it must be closed down when a change in U.S. government approach prompted a tremendous drop in silver generation and drove it into chapter 11. The structures stayed standing and were in the long run purchased by a nearby farmer to grow.
