About Historical Society

The Warwick Historical Society has been securing, protecting, and advancing the rich legacy of the town of Warwick and its towns since 1810. After a progression of gatherings in 1906, The Historical Society of the Town of Warwick was set up. Presently working as its base camp since January 2011, the previous Albert Wisner Public Library was given to the Historical Society and re-named A.W Buckbee Center 1927. It is home to broad files, static displays, and then some.
It was 1906 and the initial couple of gatherings spun around setting up a name to help the mission. Normally, the individuals chose The Historical Society of the Town of Warwick. Under 10 years after the Historical Society's beginning, enrollment had developed to in excess of 100 inhabitants, the association had distributed its first work, Warwick Historical Papers, and at its 1915 yearly gathering, individuals from the Historical Society talked about the buy of its first property – the Shingle House on then-Lake Street introduce day Forester Avenue.
