Flint Institute of Music

Situated in the Flint Cultural Center on East Kearsley Street in downtown Flint, the Flint Institute of Music is a music focus that incorporates the Flint Symphony Orchestra, the Flint Youth Theater, and the Flint School of Performing Arts. The establishment offers classes at its Drama School for youngsters beginning from age three.

Built up in 1971, the foundation presents numerous exhibitions every year including move, music, and theater. The Flint Symphony Orchestra plays a full period of shows at the middle and in addition free summer "Music in the Park" shows. For over 30 years the organization has displayed the Nutcracker artful dance over the occasions.
