Big Spring Park

Big Spring Park otherwise called Big Spring Park is situated in downtown Huntsville, Alabama. The recreation center is worked around its namesake "Huge Spring", the first water source that the city of Huntsville was worked around. The recreation center is likewise striking as the setting for the Panoply Arts Festival, held the last entire end of the week in April, Big Spring Jam, a yearly music celebration hung on the fourth end of the week in September from 1993 to 2011, and The Battle of the Buffalo, a wild ox wings rivalry held by the UAH Alpha Tau Omega organization to help malignancy examine.

Big Spring Park is named for a spring named "the huge spring" by the indigenous Cherokee and Chickasaw. The unique park site is arranged in downtown Huntsville, beginning from the west side of the courthouse square, and reaching out around two squares southwest. This piece of the recreation center incorporates the spring itself and a channel stretching out to whatever remains of the recreation center. The recreation center's development started September 21, 1898 under the heading of Colonel W. Hiram Chittenden of the U.S. Armed force Corp of Engineers, positioned at the recreation center amid the Spanish– American War. Col. Chittenden ended up keen on the recreation center and the wellspring of the Big Spring.
