About Allen County Museum

The Allen County Museum is worked by the Allen County Historical Society which was framed in 1908. Initially situated in Lima's Memorial Hall, the Historical Society exceeded the accessible space by 1935, and started secretly raising assets to assemble a gallery. Led by Elizabeth M. MacDonell, and bolstered by the eminent John Wesley Van Dyke, Chairman of the Atlantic Refining Company, the association effectively raised the required assets to assemble a different office.
The Allen County Museum is situated in the city of Lima, the province seat of Allen County, Ohio, United States. Possessing a half city hinder, the exhibition hall grounds incorporates the fundamental gallery assembling, a log house, the MacDonell House a Victorian manor, a Shay Locomotive show, the Children's Discovery Center, family history and nearby history library, railroad chronicles, and the Children's Garden.
