About Winchester Round Table
Despite the fact that it has been turned out to be an impersonation of the amazing table around which King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table congregated, this table hanging in the Great Hall of Winchester Castle itself goes back to late medieval circumstances.
Considered one of the finest surviving aisled corridors of the thirteenth century, the Great Hall is all that remaining parts of the medieval manor initially developed for William the Conqueror in 1067.
The round table is accepted to have been made in around 1290, for a "Round Table" competition celebration close Winchester held to commend the pre-wedding assurance of one of Edward I's girls.
