St Nicholas Priory

Sadly because of fundamental building repairs St Nicholas Priory is as of now not open. Decorated with great imitation furniture and painted in the brilliant shades of the period, the Priory is introduced as the 1602 home of the rich Hurst family. The show of Elizabethan things from the city's gathering, the expansion of present day luxuries and new understanding enable more prominent access to the Priory and gives an awesome knowledge into Tudor life.

St Nicholas Priory was established in 1087 and was home to Benedictine priests for more than 400 years. In 1536, as different cloisters, it was shut and the remaining parts turned into the home of well off Tudor shippers.
