About Fort Victoria

Fort Victoria is a previous military fortification on the Isle of Wight, England, worked to monitor the Solent. The most punctual fortress on the site was a waterfront post known as Sharpenode Bulwark worked in 1545-7 by Henry VIII, yet these safeguards had fallen into deterioration by the 17th century. Stronghold Victoria was worked during the 1850s. It was a block manufactured triangular post with two offshore batteries meeting at a correct point. It stayed being used until 1962. Parts of the post were along these lines destroyed, and what remains has moved toward becoming piece of Fort Victoria Country Park.
Fortress Victoria is arranged on Sconce Point west of Yarmouth.
