The congregation was worked in the mid-nineteenth century by the Gothic restoration engineer Joseph Hansom, originator of the hansom taxi and is renowned as having the tallest tower of any area church in England.St Walburge's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Preston, Lancashire, England, northwest of the downtown area on Weston Street.
