About Great Mosque of Aleppo
The Great Mosque of Aleppo or the Umayyad Mosque of Aleppo is the biggest and one of the most established mosques in the city of Aleppo, Syria. It is situated in al-Jalloum region of the Ancient City of Aleppo, a World Heritage Site, close to the passage to Al-Madina Souq.
It was worked in the start of the eighth century CE. In any case, the present building goes back to the eleventh through fourteenth hundreds of years. It is one of the best mosque in this city. The minaret was worked in 1090, and was crushed amid battling in the Syrian common war in April 2013.
