Zell

Zell is a municipality within the district of Winterthur inside the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. It is placed inside the Toss Valley and includes numerous places, with the most important cities within the valley. The symbolic that means isn't clean. It first regarded in 1845 on a lantern of the hearth branch of the village of Zell. In 1930, the municipality took over the coat of arms. Zell turned into first cited in writing in 741 as Cella. The village belonged to an Alemannic noble family and a member of this family donated the village to the monastery Lutzelau.

In 744 this have become the assets of the monastery of St. Gallen. Over the following centuries, the possession changed time and again, first to the county Kyburg, later to the Habsburgs and in the end after the cease of the antique Zurich battle to the Zurich. The political community of Zell has evolved after the withdrawal of the French troops in 1799 and exists considering the fact that 1934 in its gift form, after Hinterrikon joined as the ultimate district of the municipality.
